One couch. One fridge. One fair price.
Moving a single item costs $150 to $450 flat. A couch or mattress runs $150 to $250, a fridge or washer $200 to $350, and that Facebook Marketplace dresser gets picked up, wrapped, and delivered, often the same day. Two movers, a truck, and blanket-wrapping are included; stairs without an elevator add about $100 per flight.
What's included in every small move
- Two real movers + a real truck. Not one guy with a van and a prayer.
- Blanket-wrapping. Your item rides padded and strapped, not sliding around the truck bed.
- Loading and unloading. Carried into the exact room you want it, not left at the curb.
- Marketplace pickup coordination. We arrange the window directly with your seller so you don't play phone tag.
- Doorway math. Legs off, door off the hinges if needed; we get it in.
- A flat price by text. Send a photo, get a number, done. Basic liability coverage included.
Moving a piano, a safe, or something that laughs at doorways? That's our specialty & heavy items crew. Moving a whole apartment's worth? You probably want local moving, which is often cheaper than three single-item trips.

How to get a single-item price in about three minutes
- Text us a photo of the item (or the Marketplace listing link). A photo tells us size, weight, and awkwardness better than any description.
- Tell us both addresses and the floor and elevator situation on each end. Mention a third-floor walkup now rather than on move day.
- Get your flat number. If it works for you, we schedule, often for the same day on weekdays.
What affects the price of a small move
Three things, in order: stairs (about $100 per flight when there's no elevator, because that's where the real work and the real risk live), distance (crosstown costs less than cross-county), and awkwardness, since a 90-pound sleeper sofa is harder to carry than a 90-pound box thanks to the hinged metal frame inside. Traffic, a chatty seller, or a slow elevator won't change the number. Flat means flat.
The math vs. renting a truck
A rental truck runs $30 to $60 plus mileage, fuel, and insurance, and then you're the one carrying a fridge down the stairs with a friend who "used to lift." One slipped grip can cost far more than hiring movers. For $150 to $450 you get people who do this eight times a day, insurance if anything goes wrong, and your Saturday back.
